Ciao Rode Hoeden,Paolo VERZONE (Italy)
Paris-based photographer Paolo Verzone began taking pictures at the age of 18, especially focussing on portraiture and reportage. Over the years, he has developed a number of personal projects, among which was the Peshawar project that received the Canon Best Portfolio award and was a finalist for the Leica Oskar Barnack award.
He often collaborates with fellow Italian photographer Alessandro Albert. Their photo essay on Muscovites, made into the book Volti di Passaggio won the Kodak European Panorama award, and a portrait from their project Seeuropeans won a World Press Photo award in 2001. He won the 3rd prize in the category Sports Features of the World Press Photo Awards in 2009.
Paolo Verzone works with magazines such as Le Monde 2, Das Magazin, Vanity Fair, Newsweek, Amica, Geo, D la Repubblica delle Donne, and Io Donna. His images are in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris. Verzone is represented by Agence Vu, Paris and Grazia Neri, Milano.

yes, D La Repubblica delle Donne is the friday’s magazine of the newspaper "La Repubblica" (the n.1 Italian newspaper together with il Corriere della Sera) – therefore is one of the most read magazines in Italy. Is meant for a female reader, with lot of fashion and fashion ads, but I think is the right audience for the RedHat "movement"… thumbs up, definitely.

How are you? I guess you have been busy with your annual meeting! Florence is very busy now but weather is terrible, it was much better in March when you were here!
I have looked into your correspondance with Antonio, unbelievable. Such a shame that a beautiful holiday has this awful mark. I did not see him again, maybe he "works" late shifts, who knows…
I know the magazine very well, it comes with LA Repubblica Newspaper every Friday! YOu are getting famous in Italy!! maybe you could contact Marco the florentine photographer as he works for a press Agency too, together they could organize a beautiful article!.
I will look every friday now, but if Mrs Marazzi will tell you when it will be out please let me know!
